Waverley duo selected for 2019 World Championships team
We are thrilled to announce that Waverley’s Kate McDonald and Talia Folino have been selected on the team of six to represent Australia at the 49th FIG World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Stuttgart, Germany next month! Waverley duo represent Australia in Belgium
After gaining selection on to the Women's National Squad at the recent Australian Championships, Waverley's Emily Whitehead and Kate McDonald have returned to Australia following their first international assignment for 2019. The WAG component of the 2019 Australian Gymnastics Championships was held from Monday 20th – Sunday 26th May at Melbourne Arena. Waverley Gymnastics Centre Upgrade
On Tuesday 14th May, Monash Council officially awarded the tender for the redevelopment of the Oakleigh multisport facility (including our new gymnastics facility) to the APM Group Australia. This is very exciting news as it means that building works will commence in the next 4-6 weeks!! Romi Brown selected for World Cup!
UPDATE 12th MARCH: It's been a huge few weeks for Waverley's Romi Brown, who competed for Australia at the International Gymnix in Montreal, Canada over the weekend. 2018 Junior Victorian Championships
The 2018 WAG Level 4-6 Junior Victorian Championships were held across the weekend of Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th November, at Geelong Arena. Waverley was represented by teams at all three levels, following the qualifications at the recent Metro South Regional Championships. It was an incredibly successful weekend of competition, with Waverley gymnasts claiming 3 Victorian Champion Team titles, as well as a combined 28 Individual All Around/Apparatus medals!! [...]
2018 Metro South Regional Championships
The Gymnastics Victoria Metro South Regional Championships were held across the weekend of Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st October, co-hosted by Waverley Gymnastics Centre. Congratulations to Waverley's Emily Whitehead who competed at the 2018 World Championships in Doha on Saturday 27th October. Emily finished 48th All Around in her first ever World Championships!
