Emily Whitehead selected for Commonwealth Games!

Congratulations to Waverley's own Emily Whitehead who has been selected as a member of the Women's Artistic Gymnastics team to represent Australia at the upcoming 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games!!

Emily was selected alongside fellow Victorian Alexandra Eade, and Queenslander's Rianna Mizzen, Georgia Godwin and Georgia-Rose Brown.

Congratulations as well to Waverley coach and judge, Jessica Haintz, who has been named as one of the Commonwealth Games National Technical Officer's for gymnastics!

The Commonwealth Games gymnastics competition will be held on the Gold Coast from the 5th - 9th of April at the Coomera Indoor Sports Centre. The event will be Emily's Commonwealth Games debut but she brings with her some very strong results over the past years, most notably her Silver medal on vault at the recent Melbourne World Cup.

Waverley would also like to congratulate coaches John Hart, Nadiya Koryakina, Jeb Silsbury, Jessica Mason and Georgia Bonora for preparing their athletes for the trial and the event.
