Each year the Victorian Sport Awards honours those who have made an outstanding contribution to sport in Victoria as individual or team athletes, coaches, administrators and volunteers from both metropolitan and regional areas in Victoria. 2018 Junior Victorian Championships

The 2018 WAG Level 4-6 Junior Victorian Championships were held across the weekend of Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th November, at Geelong Arena. Waverley was represented by teams at all three levels, following the qualifications at the recent Metro South Regional Championships. It was an incredibly successful weekend of competition, with Waverley gymnasts claiming 3 Victorian Champion Team titles, as well as a combined 28 Individual All Around/Apparatus medals!! Waverley gymnasts selected for 2018 World Championships team

Congratulations to Waverley's Emily Whitehead who competed at the 2018 World Championships in Doha on Saturday 27th October. Emily finished 48th All Around in her first ever World Championships! Although it wasn't the most consistent competition for the Australian team, Emily showed great determination and resilience to compete through illness and finished up having three of her four apparatus scores count towards the team total - awesome effort Em! On Thursday 11th October three of Waverley's up and coming Future International gymnasts - Miella Brown, Sumer Daly and Zoe Nitsiopoulos- had the exciting opportunity to be involved in a ‘Future Star Q&A’ at the annual Women In Sport Breakfast held at the RACV Club in the city.
